GHS is a European software publisher specializing in payroll solutions for the cultural sector. Originally focused on desktop applications, GHS decided to transition to a SaaS model to expand their market reach, simplify user experience, and reduce support needs. A critical part of this transition was the development of an electronic signature application integrated into their sPAIEctacle software, which manages highly confidential payroll data for over 100,000 regular users and securely hosts more than 10 million documents on OVH.

The Challenge: Developing a Secure and Scalable Electronic Signature Application

As GHS embarked on its SaaS journey, they needed to ensure that the new electronic signature application could be developed and deployed quickly without compromising the security of sensitive client data. The application had to seamlessly integrate into sPAIEctacle, providing a secure, user-friendly solution that could handle high volumes of transactions from the outset.

David Lescure, CEO of GHS, turned to Spinal to achieve these goals, seeking a partner that could provide the necessary tools and expertise to expedite the development process while maintaining the highest standards of security.

The Spinal Solution

Spinal’s engineering platform was the key to GHS’s success. By leveraging a combination of existing components - app builders and AI - and customized solutions, Spinal enabled GHS’s development teams to rapidly build and deploy the electronic signature application. The platform ensured that the integration with Spaiectacle was seamless, allowing the application to function securely within GHS’s existing IT environment.

Moreover, Spinal’s focus on security meant that GHS could confidently handle the sensitive payroll data managed by Spaiectacle, adhering to all necessary compliance standards while delivering a robust and reliable service to their users.

Rapid Deployment and Significant Revenue Growth

Thanks to Spinal, GHS was able to bring the electronic signature application to market quickly, with the service handling over 1,000 signatures per day at launch. This new offering not only enhanced the value of the Spaiectacle software but also contributed to a 7% increase in GHS’s revenue in the first year alone. Three years later, the electronic signature service represents 15% of the company’s total revenue, underscoring the impact of the successful SaaS transition.

Christophe Poisbelaud, DSI à GHS, shared his experience:

I highly recommend Spinal for its ability to quickly and efficiently deploy the best cloud technologies, perfectly addressing the challenges of cloud platform migrations, and ensuring that a rapidly growing company can scale with confidence.
